Tree walk
Forbury Gardens
Saturday, 8th June 2024
14:00 - 14:45
For Waterfest, a short walk around Forbury Gardens and the Abbey ruins meeting a variety of trees along the way, from the Verdun Oak (grown from acorns collected at the battlefield of Verdun) to beautiful specimen trees suitable for small gardens.
Walk will be repeated at 15:00.
Both walks will be led by Marcus Wheeler and start at the bandstand.
············
For those visiting Waterfest, Econet will be sharing a stall with Reading & District Natural History Society where it is hoped they will be joined by a number of slowworms.
